Habenular commissure

The commissure habenularum is a cross connection ( commissure ) in the area of the epithalamus. It is the only commissure in the diencephalon. The commissure is located on habenularum III. Ventricle of the brain and connects the nuclei habenulae, the pineal gland and the thalamus together. It derives mainly olfactory information.
