The hawk wall is a rock cliff in the eastern Wiehengebirge in the area of ​​the East Westphalian city Porta Westfalica. It is located on the southwest flank of the mountain Häverstädter and belongs to the official reading type with other cliffs in the vicinity to the nature reserve Wittekindsberg (MI- 038). The rocks at the Wolf's Glen are also significantly higher than that of the hawk wall and are also used by rock climbers. The road, which was in each case branched from the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial or from Wittekindsweg to the gorge with warning labels, " Danger of death " marked. The hawk wall itself has always been a stopping place for walkers and is located just outside the landslide-prone area, which must therefore be entered. West of the hawk wall there are no other natural cliffs. The southern slopes of the Wiehengebirge is towards the west, and thus beyond the baffle slope of the Great Weser arc less abrupt, so that from here does not naturally exposed rocks were pronounced.

Around 2.5 west of the hawk wall, also called long-distance hiking is the year-round cultivated mountain restaurant Zum Wilden blacksmith. To the east was finally achieved via the Wittekindsweg, after about one kilometer a hotel restaurant in the Wittekindsburg, two kilometers further east then the Kaiser- Wilhelm- Memorial, at the present, however, only a small snack is managed.
