Hachimantai, Iwate

Hachimantai (Japanese八 幡 平 市, -shi ) is a city in Iwate Prefecture on Honshu, the main island of Japan.

History

The city Hachimantai was founded on 1 September 2005 from the former municipalities Nishine, Matsuo and Ashiro.
