Hadeborn

The Hadeborn is a creek in the district of Mansfeld- Suedharz which rises in coming Ritterode and flows from the west through Hettstedt and flows near the Hettstedter Saigertores in the Wipper. The creek is channeled underground in its course in two places. Thus ( closed today and renatured ) with the construction of the landfill Hettstedter a tunnel necessary, which should prevent the contact of the stream to waste. A second channeling is found in the Old Town area. Here the creek runs under the Hadebornstraße.

Flood

On April 13, 1994, the Bach could, due to heavy rain falls and the associated congestion of the channel system in the Old Town area, the water masses no longer grasp and continued on his way above ground. This resulted in substantial damage to property.
