Hadenfeld

Haden is a municipality in the district of Steinburg, in Schleswig- Holstein.

Geography and transport

Hadenfeld is located on the main road 430 west of Schenefeld. The Mühlenau ( Stegau ), der Steen Furth Bach and the Agethorster Au flowing through the community.

History

The place name Hadenfeld can be translated as "field of Hado ". This name is a short form of Hadumar or ( as) " hathu = fight ". The discovery of an ancient sword from the late Middle Ages to be an evidence that the place name refers to in a former battlefield.

Policy

Since the local elections of 2008, the voters Community KWG has all seven seats in the municipal council.
