Haelen

Haelen ( listen? / I ) is a church village in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is located near Roermond left of the Meuse on the National Road N 273 Haelen has 4,309 inhabitants (as of 1 February 2007).

Former municipality Haelen

On 1 January 2007, the formerly independent municipality Haelen is fused with three others to the municipality Leudal. For the former municipality included under the town Haelen, which housed the administrative headquarters, nor the villages Buggenum (940 inhabitants), Horn ( 3,972 inhabitants) and Nunhem ( 688 inhabitants).
