Hafizi

The Hafiziten are a branch of the Musta ʿ lī - Ismailis. After the death of the twentieth Imam of the Musta ʿ lī - Ismailis, recognized the Fatimid Caliph al- Aamir, the official Musta ʿ lī Da ʿ wa in Cairo, along with the majority of the Musta ʿ lī - Ismailis in Egypt and Syria and some Musta ʿ Israel in Yemen, al - Hafiz, the cousin of al - Aamir, as the next Imam - Caliph, Abu l -Qasim and not at- Tayyib (see Tayyibiten ). This Musta ʿ lī - Ismailis were known initially as Majidiyya and then as Hafiziyya or Hafiziten. The Zurayiden of Aden and some of the Hamdanids Sanaa supported the Hafizi Da ʿ wa also. The Hafiziten seem to have disappeared soon after the fall of the Fatimids in 1171.

Today's Musta'liten are all Tayyibiten.
