Hagen Stamm

Hagen Stamm ( born June 12, 1960 in Berlin ) is a German water polo player and coach.

Tribe was one of the best German water polo player. He won the bronze medal at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. 1981 and 1989 he became European Champion with the German national team. 1982 was the team's World Cup third parties. In total he played 323 matches and cast more than 750 goals.

In association Hagen played strain for water Spandau 04 With this club he was from 1979 to 1992 fourteen consecutive time German champion, twelve German cup winner and won in 1982, 1985, 1986 and 1989, the European Cup of Champions. 1987, 1989 and 1992 he was the top scorer of the German water polo league.

After the German water polo team failed to qualify for the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, strain was national coach in the same year. With it matured a new team who again reported successes. At the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 the team finished fifth.

As a result of the failure in the Olympic qualifying tournament for the 2012 Olympic Games in London Hagen started back strain as national coach of the German national water polo team. After the Olympic Games in 2004 and 2008 it was the first time that the national team under Hagen strain did not yield the expected performance, falling short of the qualification. With his resignation, he took the whole responsibility.

Hagen tribe is now the president of his master association water Spandau 04, in which his son Marko tribe as a player is in use.
