The Office Hagenow country is an administrative community of twenty municipalities that are located around the city Hagenow. The seat itself is not Hagenow office belonging. The Office is located in the western half of the county Ludwigslust - Parchim and is one of the largest offices in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern.

The current office was built first as a management group whose founding treaty was signed by the mayors of the municipalities involved in the September 26, 1991. It was the first national regulation setting up of offices and to determine the official free communities of 25 March 1992, the Office Hagenow country.

Geography and transport

The office area is located 10 to 35 kilometers south-west of the state capital Schwerin and surrounding areas within a radius of about 7 to 12 kilometers around the city Hagenow around.
