Hagenthal-le-Haut

Hagenthal -le-Haut (German Obernhagen Thal ) is a commune with 617 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the district Mulhouse, on the Canton Huningue and community association Porte du Sundgau.

Geography

The community Hagenthal -le-Haut in is at the southeastern edge of the Sundgau, near the border with Switzerland, about nine kilometers southwest of Basel. Through the village flows the creek church, which is called from Hagenthal -le- Bas Lentz Bach, on Swiss territory Lörzbach. Hagenthal -le-Haut and the neighboring community Hagenthal -le- Bas form a closed settlement area.
