Hägerstensåsen metro station

Hägerstensåsen is an aboveground station Stockholm subway. It is located in the homonymous district Hägerstensåsen. The station is owned by the Röda linjen the Stockholm subway system operated. It is one of the more moderate frequented stations of the metro network. On a normal working day here rise to 5,000 commuters and around.

The station was taken on April 5, 1964 in operation, as the first section of Röda was inaugurated linjen between T- centralen and Fruängen. The platforms are located above ground in elevated and partly also in the ägerstenstunnel, which is about 400 meters long and runs in the direction of the station phone plan. The station is located between the stations phone plan and Västertorp. Stockholm Central Station is approximately seven kilometers.
