Hagneck ( in local dialect [ hɑg̊ni ] ) is a village and a mixed community in the administrative district of the Swiss canton of Bern Zealand.
Geography
Hagneck located in the Bernese Seeland on the southern shore of Lake Biel, at the mouth of Hagneck. The neighboring communities of north clockwise beginning are Täuffelen, Walperswil, Siselen and Lüsslingen.
Name
The place name is first documented in 1425 as a safe Hagenegg. It is composed of the words hag and harrow / corner and is about, Geländabsatz at the enclosure '.
