Haiducii

Haiducii ( born June 14, 1977 in Bucharest; actually Paula Monica Mitrache ) is a Romanian singer. Her stage name is derived from the brigands.

After the Miss Bucharest in Romania Mitrache started a career as a singer, actress and television presenter. In 2003, she moved to Rome. In Italy, she released her first single Dragostea din tei, a cover version of a song by the Moldovan band O-Zone, but without the permission of this. As a result, had to pay a fine of 10,000 euros converted Haiducii. Just a week after the publication of the single reached # 1 on the Italian charts. Overall Haiducii took 20 weeks the top of the Italian dance charts.
