Hailee Steinfeld
Hailee Steinfeld ( born December 11, 1996 Tarzana, Los Angeles, California) is an American actress. She was known primarily for her role as Mattie Ross, published in 2010 film True Grit, an adaptation of the novel by Charles Portis.
Life and career
Steinfeld was born in 1996 in Tarzana, a district of Los Angeles, the daughter of Cheri Steinfeld, an interior designer, and Peter Steinfeld, a personal trainer. In yet a young age, she moved with her parents and about two years older brother Griffin to Agoura Hills, from where she moved some time at the California coastal city of Thousand Oaks later. There she also grew up and attended first the Conejo Elementary School and later the Colina Middle School, which they still left at the end of her first year to get home schooling.
First experiences in acting collected Steinfeld, whose maternal grandfather is Filipino, while shooting commercials, including for well-known brands and chain stores like Kmart. To her debut in the film and television sector coming talent came in 2007 when she was seen in an episode of the short-lived series Back to You.
