Haina is a district of the city Römhild in Hildburghausen in Thuringia.

Location

Haina is located north of Römhild in the historical landscape of the grave field in southern Thuringia. The village is affected by the state road 1131, which connects the Südthüringer room with Bavaria.

History

Haina is a scattered village and was first mentioned in records February 27 839.

Haina ( Römhild ) 1616 was affected by the persecution of witches. Two women got into witchcraft and burned.

1842 was born in Haina Christian Heurich, the son of an innkeeper. He lived the first twelve years the place. Beginning of the 20th century, he donated his birthplace a spacious kindergarten.
