The Hainer sea was like the neighboring lakes Haubitzer lake and boat lake villages from the lignite opencast " Witznitz II" produced and is part of the Leipzig New Lakeland. It lies north of Borna and south of Leipzig in the municipality Neukieritzsch and has reached its final water early 2010. The lake and the adjacent shore areas belong to the property of Blue Water GmbH & Co. KG.
