Hainrode, Thuringia

Hainrode is a municipality in the district of Nordhausen in Thuringia in Germany. She is a member of the administrative community Hainleite.

Location

Hainrode located on the Northern Slope of Hainleite to transition to the rocker Rough at Hünstein.

Historical Buildings

At the southeastern outskirts of the village there is a by a mountain spur above Hainrode designated as Wöbelsburg Manor House ( former owner: Bila ), whose first phase is dated to the 12th century, but mainly built in the 16th century and extended even after the reunification of something been. In GDR times, and until 1997, a children's home was housed in the buildings. The building is a listed building and is now in the possession of the state of Thuringia.

Easter tradition

Every year at Easter leads the grove Röder men and lads club by the traditional ball hitting. On Easter Sunday, a procession takes place under the direction of the association, in which the Erbesbär, a wound in straw man is led through the village.
