Hair gel

Hair gel is a Frisurenfestiger in gel form on the water or Wasser-/Alkohol-Basis that is used to make the hair style ( styling). The main ingredients are film-forming polymers that wrap around the hair ( unlike the hairspray ).

The earliest evidence of a haargelähnlichen product, a mixture of oils and pine resins, derived from the Clonycavan - man, an Irish bog body from around 392-201 BC

Hair gel is sold in various degrees of consolidation: Depending on the degree of the hair can be very tight and hard when dry. Depending on the product remains a brilliant impression after drying; particularly in so-called " wet-look " products, an effect to be achieved, which can appear the hair wet even after drying.

Hair gel is used primarily for short, but partly also with long hair. There is currently very popular, especially among (young ) men.

Unless intolerance, such as an allergy, is compared with the styling product, the risk of hair loss is virtually eliminated through the use of hair gel.

Instead of hair gel earlier fat (butter, margarine ), beer or sugar water was used for hair styling.
