Hairbrush

The hair brush is a brush that is used especially as care and styling products for hair. They are available in different shapes and sizes, and depending on the use and preference, one can choose between different materials.

Hair brushes are used for easy styling while blow-drying or. In particular, when used in combination with a hairdryer, the brush must meet several criteria: it should be heat resistant and furthermore allow for a good air exchange to prevent the material or even the hair is exposed to extreme heat.

Construction

A brush consists of a classic brush body and bristles, which are also called feed material.

Brush bodies

The brush body may be made of plastic or wood (such as maple or bamboo wood). While the handle is usually made from one of these materials, or possibly still has a rubberized surface for better grip, the portion of the brush body, in which the bristles are inserted, also consist of metal, or be coated with it. The reason for this is a more efficient heat distribution while blow-drying. For improved air exchange, the brush body part is also provided with air holes or slits and the spacing between the rows of bristles are matched accordingly.

Bristles

For the bristles, there are three materials which can be used: synthetic (eg nylon), bristles (e.g. wild boar or horsehair) and wire. Plastic and wire bristles are often end with knobs, and small beads of plastic coated to prevent damage to the hair and the scalp. Brushes can be either one of the three catchment materials, or a combination have.

Molding

There are brushes in a variety of shapes, such as round, flat or oval.

Paddlebürste

The Paddlebürste is, as the name suggests, shaped similar to a paddle, flat and often in which the bristles are embedded with a large area. This form is suitable as Föhnbürste since the hair section is a varied program. The bristles are often not simply embedded in the brush body, but in a rubber cushion that gives way when brushing the hair and thus is gentle on hair and scalp.

Round Brush

If you want to generate more volume, a round brush, in which the hairs are placed and screwed on the brush is recommended. This allows them to be blow-dried under more tension and obtained by screwing volume. In addition, you can also influence whether the hair ends fall outwards or inwards so.

Skeleton brush

Skeletal brush, also called Ventbürste, is made entirely of plastic and generally has a lot of air-permeable interstices.
