Hairy-footed dunnart

Sminthopsis hirtipes is a Beutelsäugerart from the kind of Schmalfuß Bag mice, which occurs in Australia.

Description

This Dasyuridae has silver hair on the soles of the hind feet. The species is similar to the yellow-brown coat on his back and white belly fur their relatives Sminthopsis ooldea. The total body length is 147-180 mm, of which 75 to 95 mm on the tail. The ear length is 15 mm. The weight varies 13-19 g The tail is thin and pale pink and may be thicker at the base.

Distribution and habitat

Behavior

The species is not threatened. The IUCN lists them as " safely " ( least concern ).
