Haivoron

Hajworon (Ukrainian Гайворон; Gaiworon Russian ) is a town in the west of the Kirovohrad Oblast in Ukraine on the right bank of the Southern Bug, about 176 kilometers west of the Oblasthauptstadt Kirovohrad.

The town was founded in 1796 on a pre-existing Cossack settlement, its center was originally a little northwest of the present city center. Through the construction of several narrow gauge lines from 1899 Hajworon was the center of today's narrow gauge network Hajworon, since 1949 it has the city status.

Despite its rather remote location, the place is an important center for the surrounding area, many residents are mainly engaged in the railway repair work of narrow gauge railways.
