Hakaniemi

Hakaniemi ( swedish Hagnäs ) is a part of the district of Kallio in Helsinki. Hakaniemi begins just on the other side of the bridge Pitkäsilta, just outside the city center.

Famous sights of Hakaniemi are the marketplace ( Hakaniemen tori ) and the Shopping Hall ( Hakaniemen kauppahalli ). Also, the Helsinki City Theatre ( Helsingin Kaupunginteatteri ) is located in Hakaniemi, as well as the so-called because of its architecture " Round House " ( Ympyrätalo ).

Hakaniemi has good access to public transport by bus, tram and metro.
