Hakeborn is a town in the flare - Hakel and lies on the western edge of the salt district in Saxony- Anhalt.

Geography

The town is located north of the nature reserve Hakel about 26 kilometers northwest of Aschersleben and about 25 kilometers south of Magdeburg.

History

The town was first mentioned in 960. It is characterized largely agricultural until today.

On 1 January 2010 the municipalities Hakeborn, Etgersleben and Westeregeln merged to form the new municipality of flare - Hakel.
