HAL Krishak

The HAL Krishak is an observation aircraft from the Indian manufacturer Hindustan Aeronautics.

History and construction

The Krishak is a strutted high-wing monoplane with a conventional tail unit and fixed spur wheel chassis and was originally developed as an enlarged four-seat version of the HAL Pushpak. Two prototypes were built, the first in November 1959 and the second in November 1960 flew. First, because there was no buyer interest, the development has been completed. Only when the Indian Army a request for a military observation aircraft to replace the Auster AOP wrote out, work continued on the project and modified according to the requirements. From 1965 the production of the Krishak Mk II machines mentioned, which were used until the mid -1970s and then replaced by the HAL Cheetah occurred.
