Halifax Shipyard

Halifax Shipyard is a shipyard with its headquarters in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The yard belongs to the conglomerate J. D. Irving and performs the construction and repair of ships for civilian and military use. In addition, the shipyard for the construction and repair of offshore systems involved.

History

In 1920 the company was founded in Halifax, then known as Saint John Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company. 1959 bought K. C. Irving shipyard.
