Halle, Bentheim

Hall is a municipality in the district Uelsen Bentheim in Lower Saxony. The municipality also includes the villages of Hardingen (1974 amalgamated ) and Hesingen. Mayor Geert Beckhuis. The inhabitants of Halle are not - called " Halle ", but simply " Haller " - such as in Halle an der Saale.

Geography

Geographical Location

The community hall is located south of the town of Uelsen and the city of New House. To the west the town Getelo, east of the town location. In the south hall is adjacent to the Netherlands.

The Poascheberg in Hesingen is 89 m above sea level is the second highest peak in the county of Bentheim.

History

Incorporations

On March 1, 1974, the neighboring community Hardingen was incorporated.

Parish council

The municipal council of Halle is composed of nine Council women and councilors who were last elected in the municipal elections of Lower Saxony in 2011. These have formed a joint election list.

Current mayor Halles is Geert Beckhuis, who was re- elected in November 2011.

Attractions

North Becks Mill

First historical evidence allows the water mill in 1610. Likely to have existence of the farm and the mill, however, many centuries earlier. 1865 she received a second milling operation and in 1924 a sawmill was established. In 1926 the mill wheel was replaced by a turbine, which took advantage of the average slope of the data stored in the five -meter-deep mill pond water. Was Decommissioned the mill in 1954. Lookout tower Hesingen

On the Lönsberg (87 m above sea level) in Hesingen is since 1999 a 22 meter high observation tower. The same observation tower was built on the Isterberg in the upper county between Nordhorn and Bad Bentheim.

The tower in Hesingen is a popular destination because there is also a restaurant with a children 's play area. From the large platform in 22 m height above ground level (109 m above sea level) gives you a good overview of the county of Bentheim and the neighboring Netherlands. Important points in the area are described by information boards. On a clear day, the cooling towers of power plants in Meppen and Lingen can be seen, but also the castle in Bad Bentheim.

Barrow Heath Hall - Hesingen

South of Hesingen there is a burial mound. Because of its importance, it was designated as a nature reserve and also declared a conservation area.
