Halley (lunar crater)

35.84

Halley is an impact crater south of the giant crater crater Hipparchus, whose southern exterior wall it touches. Southwest is the large crater Albategnius apparent and to the east lies the crater Hind.

The rim of Halley is worn and a notch in the lunar surface traverses its western area. This valley runs in a south- southeasterly direction to the edge of Albategnius. The crater floor is relatively flat.
