Hallicrafters

Hallicrafters was a U.S. company for the production of radio-electronic devices.

The company was founded in 1932 by William J. Halligan in Chicago to make amateur radio receiver. Hallicrafters first operation also contract manufacture for other companies and introduced in 1935 its own communications receiver ago, from 1938 stations. During World War II radio stations for the military were produced.

Hallicrafters was taken over in 1966 by the Northrop Corporation.
