Hallu

Hallu is a northern French village with 172 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier, in the canton of Rosières -en- Santerre and is part of the Communauté de communes du Santerre.

Geography

The church in the countryside Santerre is about 3.5 km south of and immediately adjacent to Chaulnes and 7.5 km east-southeast of Rosières -en- Santerre at the junction of the D39 and D131 roads department. It extends north to the railroad track Amiens Laon. Through it leads the disused railway line Chaulnes - Roye. The municipal area in the east touches the high-speed rail route of the LGV Nord and the Autoroute A1.

History

Hallu received award as the Croix de guerre 1914-1918.
