Hamdi Abu Golayyel

Hamdi Abu Golayyel (Arabic حمدي أبوجليل, with full name Hamdi Abu Hamid Issa, born 1967 in Al- Fayyūm ) is an Egyptian author.

Life

Hamdi Abu Golayyel was born near the oasis of Al Fayum (Egypt) in 1967. He is of Bedouin origin. Around 1980 he left his homeland and immigrated to Cairo to work as artisans. His first book was published in 1997. Today Hamdi Abu Golayyel lives in Cairo with his wife and two daughters, Hala and Dunya. He is currently publishing director of " Folk and Popular Culture Studies Series in the Mass / Public Administration Culture " of the Egyptian government and participates in the daily newspaper of the Emirates, al -Ittihad al - Jaridat Imaratiyya with.
