Hamilton Canucks
The Hamilton Canucks were a Canadian ice hockey franchise in the American Hockey League from Hamilton, Ontario. The venue for the Canucks was the Copps Coliseum.
History
The Hamilton Canucks were founded in 1992 as the American Hockey League farm team of the Vancouver Canucks. In the first season of the franchise it was not enough to participate in the playoffs with 64 points after the regular season was the newly founded team 6th in his division. In the second and final season, which denied the Hamilton Canucks in the AHL, as they reached their Second Division the playoffs, where they, however, already in the first round in a best - of-seven series 0-4 with the Cornwall Aces documents.
In summer 1994, the franchise to Syracuse, New York, was resettled, where, under the name Syracuse Crunch has since been active in the AHL. With the Hamilton Bulldogs a new AHL franchise was established in 1996 in the city.
