Hamoud Muhammed Ou'bad

Hamoud UBAD Muhammad (Arabic حمود عباد, DMG Hammud ʿ UBAD ) is a Yemeni politician. He's since March 14, 2011 Minister of Endowments & Guidance (Minister of foundation system, in this case, within the meaning of Waqf and religious instruction ) of the Republic of Yemen Ali Abdullah Saleh 's presidency.

Political career

Since 5 April 2007 he was previously Minister of Youth and Sports. The Office of the Minister of Endowments & Guidance he had held before the presidential elections in 2006 and was chairman of the Committee on the pilgrimage to Mecca Yemeni citizens. With the new government in 2007, only three ministers retained their department. When a new government on December 8, 2011, he retained his position as Minister of Endowments & Guidance.

Under his tenure as youth and sports minister, there was cooperation agreements and expansion with Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries such as Kuwait, Oman, Algeria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt and the Palestinian territories, India, France, the United UK and UNICEF. Furthermore, it was awarded in his tenure, the orientation of the football tournament Golf Cup 2010 Yemen.

After the Yemeni national team was drawn in chess at the Chess Olympiad 2010 in the Siberian city of Khanty -Mansiysk in the first round against Israel, UBAD Yemen withdrew from the Chess Olympiad. As Yemeni chess officials had entertained at the Olympics with the Israeli delegation, he suspended the board of the Yemeni Chess Federation as well as all national players and threatened to punishments. Yemen lost Erstrundenbegegnung without a fight, but the Chess Olympiad played at the end.
