Hampton is located in the southern suburban area of the cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul at 44 ° 36'35 " north latitude and 92 ° 59'51 " west longitude and covers an area of 3.52 km ².

History
1856 a post office was established in the area of the present town. The Hampton Township in 1858 decorated and named after a town of the same name in Connecticut. The present municipality was founded in 1896 removed from the Township and incorporated as the Village of Hampton.
