Hamuliakovo

Hamuliakovo (up to 1927 Slovak " Gutora " - 1927-1948 " Gutor "; any goods German, Hungarian Gutor - to 1907 GUTOR ) is a municipality in Okres Senec in Slovakia. The place is about 20 km south-southeast of Bratislava at the power station on the Danube Gabčíkovo and has about 1200 inhabitants.

The village was 1222 (1249? ) First written records as Gutt and was renamed in 1948 from national political reasons, in honor of the Slovak Nationalerweckers Martin Hamuljak in Hamuliakovo.

Church of the Holy Cross

The most important religious monument of the area is the Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Cross from the 13th century in Hamuliakavo. It is one of the most important Romanesque brick buildings of religious architecture in Slovakia. Your present appearance is the result of several repairs in the Baroque era and in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Unique are the frescoes from the second half of the 14th century. It is Gothic wall paintings with motifs of old church symbols.
