The Hanerau is a river in Schleswig- Holstein Rendsburg -Eckernförde circle.

The Hanerau was a left tributary of the Eider. The construction of the North Sea-Baltic Canal end of the 19th century, it was separated from the Eider and opening since then in the channel.
