Hanga is the Ghanaian language of Hanga - ethnic group and is spoken by only 6,800 (2003) people.

Of these, only 4100 speakers live in the traditional region, the rest scattered around the country. Mainly found in the central northern Ghana, southeast of Mole National Park in Damongo District. The largest village is called Murugu.

An alternative name is Anga. Recognized as dialects are North and South Hanga Hanga. Kamara is a separate language. Under dialects of South Hanga are Langantere, Murugu, Damongo; Under dialects of North Hanga are Yazori and Bowena. Hanga assigns 84% to a match to Dagaare and Farefare.
