Hankha District

Amphoe Hankha ( Thai: อำเภอ หันคา ) is a district ( Amphoe ) in the southwestern part of the province ( Changwat ) Chainat. The Chainat Province is located in the northern part of the central region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Nong Mamong the Wat Sing, Mueang Chainat Chainat province and Sankhaburi, Amphoe Bang Nang Buat Doem the province of Suphanburi, Amphoe Noen Kham again in Chainat and Amphoe Ban Rai of Uthai Thani province.

The most important water resource of the district is Maenam Tha Chin ( Tha Chin River ).

History

The original name of the district was Doem Bang Kao ( เดิม บาง เก่า ), but was renamed in 1911 in Ban Chian, named after the central tambon as simultaneously a district had been created with the same name Doem Bang. 1927 moved the administration to enter the market district of Hankha and 1939 the name of the district was renamed according to Hankha.

Management

Amphoe Manorom is ( tambon) divided into eight municipalities, which in turn in 99 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are three small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Hankha ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หันคา ), consisting of parts of the tambon Hankha,
  • Sam Ngam Tha Bot ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สามง่าม ท่า โบสถ์ ), consisting of parts of Sam Ngam Tha Bot
  • Nong Saeng ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนองแซง ), consisting of the whole tambon Nong Saeng.

There are also seven administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).

The missing digits are among the Tambon, from which today consists of Amphoe Noen Kham.
