Versions

In 2003, the home channel of the German pay -TV channel Premiere shone for the first time from a previously unknown alternative version of the film. This differs from the theatrical version by another section, different lengths of the same scenes and through the use of alternate takes of scenes with the same content. Whether it is at this newly surfaced version is a working copy or a rough cut, is not known. It is also conceivable that the alternative section served as a template for the export version. The copy of the alternative section is in a better state of preservation than the theatrical version, and was therefore unlikely to be distributed in the German distribution.

Compare movie version / alternative version

In the theatrical version, both the confrontation between Hanna and Colombani, as well as the dream sequence Annas have been created much shorter. On the other hand, the film contains a short sequence in which the Rosl them moving in the rain Thomas lookups, which is not included in the newly surfaced version of the film. Other differences are found in the use of music and rhythm section. Furthermore, the alternative version begins with an overture black screen and music, while the film version uses directly to the leader. A direct comparison of the content of the two versions of the same scenes also shows that there is unknown to 2003 version of the film largely of alternate takes of the same settings. The theatrical version was created using acting more extreme takes, so that the overall appearance is a continuous " shriller ". It is possible that the alternative version was created as the basis for the feature to work abroad. This would explain the unmotivated long entry sequence of black images in the explanatory foreign titles you would have needed to put.
