Hanna Birna Kristjánsdóttir

Hanna Birna Kristjánsdóttir ( born October 12, 1966 in Hafnarfjörður ) is an Icelandic politician ( Independence Party ), and since May 23, 2013 Minister of Interior Islands.

Hanna Birna in 1991 received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of Iceland in 1993 and Master of Science in International and European Politics at the University of Edinburgh.

From 2003 to 2013 she served on the city council of Reykjavík. She was elected from August 2008 to June 2010. During the parliamentary election in 2013, Iceland was the constituency of the Reykjavík South Althing Mayor of Reykjavík. Since 23 May 2013, it is Minister of the Interior in the cabinet Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson.
