Hanna Marklund

Hanna Marklund (born 26 November 1977, in Skellefteå ) is a Swedish football player. In 2005 she was awarded the Diamond Bollen as the best footballer of the year in Sweden.

Career

Club career

Marklund played in youth at Varuträsk IF and began her career in the Damallsvenskan at Sunnanå SK in their hometown Skellefteå. For the 2000 season, she joined Umeå IK. With the club, she was from 2000 to 2002 three-time Swedish National Champion, with the last two tracks even the Double succeeded with the Cup victory. They also reached the final of the UEFA Women's Champions League 2003/ 04, in which the first FFC Frankfurt was outclassed 3-0 and 5-0. Since 2005 she plays back at their home club Sunnanå SK, where her sisters Carolina and Miriam play.

National

Marklund played since her debut on August 30, 1997 compared Iceland has only seen 101 times for the Swedish national team. For the country selection, she participated in the World Championships in 1999 and 2003, where they lost only in the finale Germany. They also took part in the football competitions of the Olympic Games in 2000 and 2004. 2004 lost to the 3rd place match turn against the German selection.
