Hannah Davis (kayaker)

Hannah Davis ( born August 11, 1985 in Adelaide, South Australia ) is an Australian canoeist.

Hannah Davis began kayaking in 1999 at the age of 14 years following a talent search at the South Australian Sports Institute.

In their first national kayaking championships as she took under 16 -year-old part ( U16 ) and won bronze in the four-man kayak over 500 meters. In 2001 she took part in the Sydney Youth Olympic Festival. She first appeared in the Australian junior team you had in the following year in 2002 and won in 2003 at the Australian Olympic Youth Festival in the double kayak and in quad kayak about 500 yards each gold and double kayak over 1000 meters silver. At the National Championships in 2003, she won three titles at the under-18s ( U18) in single, double and quadruple kayak and was selected for the Junior World Championships in Japan. The year 2004 was her first year in the open category and the following year 2005 she won the four-man kayak the National Championship and was selected for the national team.

In the same year you took along with Lyndsie Fogarty at the World Championships in Zagreb ( Croatia) to 13th place in the double kayak over 500 meters and the 9th place on the short 200 - meter track. In 2006, she participated in any international championships, but focused on her training to be prepared by 2007 for the qualification for the Olympic Games in Beijing. At the Australian Championships in 2007, she became the youngest participant ever over the distance of 500 meters in one kayak. She also won the title in the four-man kayak and silver in the double kayak over 500 meters each.

Hannah Davis was sixth with the Australian boat in the K4 at the 2007 World Championships in Duisburg. At the World Cup in Gerardmer, she won silver in the four-man kayak over 500 meters. She was also a member of the four-man kayak crew, which reached the 6th place over 500 meters and thus qualifying for the Olympics at the World Championships. When canoeing World Cup in Duisburg in 2008 they occupied together with Lyndsie Fogarty finished third in the four-man kayak. At the Australian Championships in 2008, she won gold in the four categories Boat kayak and along with Lyndsie Fogarty in the double kayak over 500 meters each, thus consolidating its position in the Olympic team for the Beijing Games.

At the 2008 Olympics in Beijing she won a bronze medal in the four-man kayak over 500 m, in two it was with Lyndsie Fogarty sixth.
