Hannah Stockbauer

Hannah Stock Bauer ( born January 7, 1982 in Nuremberg, Germany) is a former German swimmer. She is a multiple world and European champion.

Career

Hannah stockbauer operation from the age of four swimming as a competitive sport. It was considered the greatest hope of the German swimming sport by Franziska van Almsick. Your special disciplines were the medium and long freestyle distances ( 400 m, 800 m, 1500 m ). She swam for the SSG 81 Erlangen. From 2002 to 2004 she studied geography at the University of Erlangen and at the time was also a working student at Siemens. After the 2004 Olympics in Athens, she started there training as an industrial clerk. She is now active in Duisburg for the Siemens AG.

Private life

Stock farmer lives in Duisburg and since 2000 has been romantically involved with a member of the German water polo team Tobias Kreuzmann. On October 7, 2011 Stock Bauer and Kreuzmann became parents of a daughter for the first time.

Achievements

Stockbauer can look back on many sporting successes. She had multiple German champion, five -time World and three-time European champion. With the World Swimming Championships in 2001, it achieved several European records, among other things 800 m and 1500 m freestyle. With the World Swimming Championships in 2003 Hannah stockbauer was the most successful athlete with three gold medals.

2001 and 2003 she was awarded the German Sportswoman of the Year and in 2003 as World Swimmer of the Year.

At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, the reigning world champion in the 400 m and 800 m freestyle could not meet the expectations and different on these routes already out in the heats. Only with the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay, she won the bronze medal.
