Hannes Peckolt

Hannes Peckolt ( born November 18, 1982 in Ludwigshafen, Germany) is a German sailors in the 49er dinghy.

The currently living in Kiel medical student had given his first sailing experience in a rented catamaran in Corsica, then he was an optimist. Peckolt since 2000 bowman in the 49er dinghy, together with his brother and helmsman Jan- Peter Peckolt. Previously, the two siblings had sailed in a 420 dinghy and had become at the World Championship 1999 Thirteenth, then changed but because of the higher claim in the 49er class.

Since then, they have won several successes, including they were third at the 2005 European Championships and second in the year 2007. Nearly missed it in 2004 to qualify for the Olympic Games in Athens, instead of them took the duo Marcus Baur and Max Groy there part of Germany.
