Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung

The Hannover Allgemeine Zeitung (short form HAZ ) is a common in northern Germany, and particularly in the region of Hannover daily newspaper, but also has a national and international focus.

History

The precursor sheet Hannoverscher Gazette published since March 1, 1893 was issued by August WAD bag. His son Erich Madsack took the sheet and founded ( after the merger of Hanover Latest news which appears in Celle and the German party related German People's Daily ) 1949 Hannover Allgemeine Zeitung and the WAD bag -Verlag. The HAZ appears together with other dailies and weeklies in this publishing. The newspaper was produced in Anzeiger-Hochhaus. It evolved over the years to the highest circulation newspaper in the Hanover area. In 1974, the editorial staff moved into the new printing center in Hanover- Kirchrode. Meanwhile, the local editor is again located in the Anzeiger-Hochhaus in the city center. The display part is common since the acquisition of the Hanover Press in 1974 by the Madsack publisher of the New Press.

Outside the city limits lie in the region called home daily newspapers in which are partially emerged from former local newspapers. In the fourth quarter of 2012 the average circulation was IVW at 528 288 copies ( ID HAZ Total ( Mon-Sat ) ). These are 12,282 copies per issue less ( -2.27 %) than in the same quarter last year. The number of subscribers increased to 10,919 subscribers within a year to an average of 461 556 per issue from ( -2.31 %); so based approximately 87.37 % of the readers the newspaper subscription.
