Hanns Martin Schleyer Foundation

The Hanns Martin Schleyer Foundation supports scientists from the fields of economics, law and cultural studies. It was founded in 1977 by the Confederation of German Employers' Associations ( BDA) and the Federation of German Industry ( BDI) and named after the murdered employers President Hanns Martin Schleyer.

The Foundation has its headquarters in Cologne. It awards the Friedwart Bruckhaus Prize, the Hanns Martin Schleyer Prize and the Universitas Prize for Science Journalism.
