The Hanover Hound is a recognized by the FCI German breed (FCI Group 6, Section 2, Standard No. 213).

Origin and History

The German scent hounds descended from the old European Bracken: the pad in Germany, the bloodhound in Scandinavia and the Hubertus dog in France. The old German Bracke was mainly Beagle and Hound. The German hounds are smaller than the French. The three races are widely used up to the hare and wild boar hunting; they have no common breed standard.

Description

The Hanover Hound is up to 55 cm tall and weighs up to 40 kg. He is a powerful and elongated dog with thick, full, straight hair, colors: gray brown, ocher yellow with red markings. He has a quiet, very own character.

Use

The Hanover Hound is doing an excellent welding work is perennial, and should be used for hunting, but is also ideal for rescue dogs work.
