Hans Buchner

Hans Buchner was a student of Paul Hofhaimer. Since 1506 he worked in Konstanz, where he held the position of organist at the cathedral. As the bishop in the course of the Reformation was forced to move its headquarters to Meersburg, Buchner followed him to also there to accept the position of organist. However, he retained his residence in Konstanz.

He left as his most important work " Fundamentum " (ca. 1520), a collection of compositions for organ, which also includes instructions for playing technique and improvisation.
