Hans Caspar Hirzel

Hans Caspar Hirzel, Johann Kaspar ( born March 21, 1725 in Kappel am Albis, † February 18, 1803 in Zurich ) was a Swiss physician and writer.

He was a senior town physician and member of the Great Council of Zurich, traveled with Johann Georg Sulzer, Switzerland and Germany and studied in Berlin, the former luminaries of German literature know. Lived Ewald Christian von Kleist few weeks with him, and by Friedrich Gottlieb Klopstock sung in one of his odes boat trip on Lake Zurich led Hirzel. In 1762 he was co-founder and first ruler of the Helvetic Society.
