Hans-Dieter Brüchert

Hans -Dieter Brüchert ( born August 18, 1952 in Jarman ) is a former German wrestler and silver medalist at the Olympic Games in 1976.

Career

Hans Dieter Brüchert began in 1967 with the rings. After the first major place in the children's section 1969, he was delegated to the Children and Youth Sports School in Luckenwalde. In the SG Dynamo Luckenwalde coach Helmut Börner, Reinhard Mehlhorn and Wolfgang Brösicke led him into the Welte Leite in free style. His first East German championship titles won Hans -Dieter bantamweight in 1974.

His debut on the international wrestling mat was Hans- Dieter also 1974. Medal with gains at the European Championships in Madrid, where he won the silver medal at the World Championships in Istanbul, where he won the bronze medal, this turned out extremely successful.

In 1975, Hans -Dieter only at the World Championships in Minsk at the start, but already resigned from after the 3rd round. But 1976 was for Hans -Dieter again a very successful year. First, he won the European Championship in Leningrad bantamweight bronze medal and then he won at the Olympic Games in Montreal, the silver medal. In Montreal, he defeated among others László Klinga from Hungary and Risto Darlev from Yugoslavia, against which he had lost at the European Championships in Leningrad and the World Championship in Minsk. Only at the Soviet athlete Vladimir Jumin came Hans -Dieter not over. His defeat against this wrestler in the finals of Montreal was already his fourth defeat against him at an international championship.

1977 and 1978 was Hans- Dieter only at the World Championships at the start. While he was eliminated in the World Cup 1977 in Lausanne after the 2nd round, he succeeded in 1978 in Mexico City two victories. He landed on the 7th Place.

After 1978 Hans -Dieter Brüchert was replaced in the GDR by Bernd Bobrich. In other international championships, he was no longer at the start. He completed an educational training and is still active as a teacher.
