Hans Eskilsson

Hans Eskilsson ( born January 23, 1966 in Östersund ) is a former Swedish football player who now works as a trainer and a professional poker player.

Career

Eskilsson played in youth at Ope IF and IFK Östersund, before moving in 1985 to IFK Norrköping in the Allsvenskan. In 1987 he moved to league rivals Hammarby IF. He then went to Portugal. There he played for Sporting Lisbon, Sporting Braga and GD Estoril.

1991, he returned Eskilsson back to Sweden and signed with AIK Solna. After 12 Premier League matches, he moved at the end of the season back to Hammarby IF. In 1995, he joined Vasalunds IF, but only stayed there for half a year. In the summer he went abroad again. His new employer was the Scottish side Heart of Midlothian. However, he remained there only one season before he went for the third time to Hammarby IF. After a hard foul by Daniel Hoch he had to end his active career in 2001 because of a broken leg complicated.

2002 Eskilsson coach at unterklassigen club Östersund FK, where he also occasionally tried his hand as player-coach. In 2004, he oversaw Enköpings SK. He then worked at Atlas Copco IF and Nykvarns SK.

Parallel to his work on the bench was Eskilsson professional poker player. His trademarks are fancy glasses. He also appears as a football expert on Swedish television.

Eskilsson is married to the former Swedish national team Malin Swedberg, with whom he has two children.
